Busy Bees aims to be the employer of choice in every market where we operate.
We know that our people are critical in giving over 100,000 children in our care their best start in life, delivering a rich learning experience in a safe environment.
That's why we work hard to recruit and retain top-quality colleagues by offering outstanding opportunities for growth and development, because childcare is a career, not just a job.
To that end, our dedicated education business, Busy Bees Education and Training, delivers thousands of training hours every year, empowering our people to get a qualification and further develop their career.
We're committed to creating a diverse and inclusive culture, which includes empowering and supporting women and helping them achieve their full potential.
Indeed, 50% of our Group management team are female.
We aim to provide a happy, supportive work environment and offer an industry leading package, including competitive wages and a range of additional benefits, as well as a wellbeing programme that supports our colleagues' physical and mental health.
The Next Generation
We understand that our sector faces challenges in recruiting, developing and retaining the talented workforce it needs to support its future growth.
To that end, our dedicated education business, Busy Bees Education and Training, delivers thousands of training hours every year, empowering our people to earn a qualification and further develop their career.
We’re working with governments to help overcome this issue, including supporting apprenticeships and attracting workers of all ages with the right skills and passion for nurturing the next generation.
Today we have more than 1,600 apprentices in training in the UK, Oceania and Asia - almost 7% of our total colleagues.
And in 2024, we will recruit 1,000 more apprentices to support our ongoing talent pipeline.
Our apprentices receive an hourly rate well above the statutory level, with on-the-job training and the promise of a full-time job when they successfully complete their training.
