Our Governance Vision
As a global childcare provider, it's critical that we have robust and fair policies and rules to support the cohesiveness of our organisation.
Our group governance programme, which sets out our group financial controls, group governance policies and training activity, underpins our vision and values and demonstrates our focus on always acting with integrity and honesty.
This ensures that, no matter where we operate, all our people and stakeholders are clear on what we stand for and how we expect them to behave when representing Busy Bees. It also shapes what our families can expect from us and supports the work of our executive team.
We are committed to:
- Maintaining a high standard of governance across the group, with a clear and transparent governance programme
- Setting high ethical standards through our global policies and training, with focused risk assessments and audits
- Embedding a Speak Up culture, supported by our independent Speak Up helpline, which encourages our people to raise concerns, confidentially and anonymously, without fear
- Carrying out our bi-annual group governance compliance reviews
- Continuously reviewing and developing our independent management and reporting procedures
Our Progress So Far
Our governance programme was developed and implemented in full in 2022
Safeguarding Board and Committee rolled out across the Group
ESG Management Board in place to drive our ESG agenda
Global Data Protection policy developed and rolled out in Europe
Independent Speak Up service is available every hour of every day of the year
In 2024 and beyond, work will continue to review, develop and improve our governance programme, including embedding our Safeguarding and ESG Management boards, carrying out risk audits for our key policies and continuing to embed data protection awareness across our business.
We will also continue to develop our ESG risk management in our supply chain through due diligence, audits and contract protection.
